Dan Shipping and Trading Sp z o.o. was established on December 28, 1990 through mutual agreement between partners from Poland and Denmark. Since the inception, it has continued to provide high-quality brokerage services in the field of sea transport, servicing several hundred ships per year in the largest ports in Poland, including Szczecin, Świnoujście, Police, Gdańsk, and Gdynia.

In the 2000s, the company significantly expanded its activities by providing import and export forwarding services to leading contractors and cargo administrators in the Baltic Sea region.

Since 2010, as an integral business entity the company contributed to the growth and development of smaller Polish ports, such as Kołobrzeg, Darłowo and Ustka, by elevating their importance on the global stage of Baltic ports.

Starting in 2015, Dan Shipping and Trading Sp z o.o. began providing freight services in a broad range of cargo loads, including “dry bulk” and “general cargo.”
